Olympic athletes cannot afford to have an off day. One way that they can ensure that they always bring their A-game is to have a powered-up diet.
Here, some of the Sochi olympians share some of their energizing favorites.
Sarah Hendrickson- Ski Jumper
She prefers a banana with Greek yogurt and some cereal. This combination satisfies her tastebuds, helps her stay full longer, and allows her to build muscle in a balanced way.
Grete Elaissen- Freestyle Skier
The night before any competition, she has a balance meal that consists of vegetables, pasta, and protein. Pad thai is awesome for that, but instead of noodles, she uses spaghetti squash.
Hillary Knight- Ice Hockey Player
It is important to her to have healthy snacks to fuel her throughout the day. She makes her own trail mix that consists of almonds, chocolate chips or peanut butter cups, cashews and dried cherries. It is easy to take with you wherever you go.
