On Saturday, August 17th, JKJ Health Matters participated in the Philadelphia Eagles 4th Annual Health and Safety Day presented by Teva Pharmaceuticals. The event was held at Lincoln Financial Field and opened at 10:30 AM for all Eagles fans prior to the training camp that began at 12:30 PM. There were an estimated 25,000 people in attendance with access to the health fair.
The JKJ Health Matters booth focused on summertime health and safety tips for adults and children. The adults were offered free DermaScan imaging from Mainline Health, a great tool in outlining areas of your face that may have sun damage. The DermaScan magnifies the image of your face using a black light which highlights any sun damage from UV rays on your face. Recommendations were given by a technician to minimize sun damage along with free sunscreen samples and information on free, local skin cancer screenings.
The children had a great time digging for lip balm with shovels in a baby pool filled with sand. Each lip balm had a prize ticket wrapped around it that you collected at the booth that day. Gift cards to the Eagles Pro Shop, wireless fitbit activity trackers, real food meal delivery, edible arrangements, collapsible water bottles and health tips were some of the prizes that the kids won. The most coveted prize of the day- an Eagles Prize pack filled with Eagles gear- was won by a 5 year old self professed HUGE Eagles fan! The kids also kept the SPF 15 Health Matters lip balm from the dig.
Adults and children alike were treated to fat free frozen yogurt treats from Red Berry Frozen Yogurt courtesy of JKJ Health Matters. Over 300 fat free vanilla, chocolate, and banana yogurt samples were given out with bio-degradable spoons and tips on enjoying summer’s healthiest frozen treats.
“As the official insurance broker for the Philadelphia Eagles, this was the perfect venue to highlight our wellness service capabilities” said Bethany Bullard, Wellness Coordinator for JKJ. “It was a beautiful day and an amazing event that we look forward to participating in again next year!” Fly Eagles Fly!
