JKJ University Seminar: What to do in the case of a violent intruder

How to Limit Business and Human Loss

Philadelphia, PA, March, 6, 2017 – Places of worship, schools and businesses are more and more being targeted by violent intruders resulting in the loss of life and organizational devastation. On Thursday, March 9 at 10:30AM-2:30PM at Lincoln Financial Field | Xfinity Press Box, Johnson Kendall Johnson (JKJ) will partner with The ALICE Training Institute to offer specialized training designed to teach the proper safety measures needed to protect your business and employees during an active shooter or violent intruder event.

This 4-hour session presented by ALICE National Trainer, Chad Cunningham, will focus on why organizations need to know the ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) concepts and how these concepts can improve survivability during an Active Shooter attack. Demonstrations throughout the presentation will maximize understanding and exemplify the advantages of implementing the ALICE options in any organization.

“In the world we live in today, we need to expect the unexpected. As the leader in risk management our business is built on preparing our clients for unforeseen events. JKJ partnered with ALICE to provide our clients and business partners with the tools needed to mitigate and limit loss in the case of a violent intruder. The best defense for unexpected events is to be prepared with a necessary response plan to be implemented at a moment’s notice” said Kevin Dougher, Vice President of JKJ.

The session will be attended by nonprofit and for profit healthcare and human services companies.

Topics Include:

  • Early warning signs of potential violent persons

  • Case histories and lessons learned

  • Can infrastructure security measures keep us safe?

  • Effective barricading & evacuation strategies

  • Liability concerns of following outdated plans & policies
