Case Study :: Directors and Officers Liability for an IPO

Challenge:

50m technology firm was going public, and issuing an IPO 60 days from our initial contact. The Board's concern was to put in place adequate coverage with insurance companies that knew and had experience in technology, IPO's, and Directors and Officers liability.

What We Did:

  • Met with underwriters from leading D & O insurance companies in the world.
  • We contacted the two largest D & O insurance companies and the two leading insurers for D & O in the world. Their coverage was competitively priced and extremely broad in scope, covering the IPO event and the time period prior to the Board first saying they wanted to go public.

Results:

  • The client continues to be the leading firm in its industry. They have forged a partnership with both JKJ and the insurers and have grown five-fold since our initial meeting.
  • The client shares a very unique and personal relationship with the insurers and JKJ.
